Plarr House POU Water Systems

Drinking Water System

The only safe water is the water you treat just before you use it (Point of Use, POU).
Current drinking water has safety, health, sustainability and vitality issues. Recent
studies have shown that tap water in 42 states was contaminated with more than 140
unregulated chemicals. There are only two ways to remove everything from water,
distillation and reverse osmosis. However, water produced by these methods is “dead”
and not suitable for long term use. We have designed a POU system that treats and
enhances tap water (Water Enhancement and Treatment – WET system). It consists of
a very compact and efficient reverse osmosis system with a proprietary remineralization
filter and a patented water enhancement (energizing) device (Penguin).

The specific type of functional water produced by the Penguin is electrolyzed alkaline
water. Our patented design creates enhanced drinking water that is more powerful
(as measured by ionization potential) than tap water (by 5-10X) and water produced
by current electrolyzers (ionizers) on the market (by 2-3X). The Penguin not only out-
perform other systems on the market, but it will cost 30-50% less.

The benefits of drinking electrolyzed alkaline water have been known for some time
and some of them have been approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health. A few of
the benefits published by our consultants include (1) extending life of mice by 30%; (2)
reducing and repairing damage to DNA; (3) improving intestinal tract absorption. Dr.
Hanaoka, the “godfather” of functional water and one of the inventors of the Penguin,
has shown that “Penguin water” (scientifically referred to as IP water) makes (1) solutes
more soluble and bioavailable; (2) antioxidants more powerful (2-3X); (3) the immune
system stronger. We have anecdotal evidence that IP water has benefits for diabetes,
cancer and addictive behavior.

Since cells are cells, the benefits for humans apply to plants and animals. Plants grow
stronger and faster (two crops per year instead of one) with up to 30% less water.
Animals (chicken, cows, pigs) gain weight with less feed, have less disease, and
produce more “products” (eggs, milk, etc.).

Biocide Water System

The current approach to sanitizing or disinfecting surfaces, equipment, hands, food,
etc. is to use strong chemicals. These chemicals can be hazardous to ship, store and
dispose of. We have developed a POU system that produces a broad spectrum biocide
that is human and environmentally friendly. This is another form of functional water
produced by electrolysis and is commonly referred to as acid water because of its low
pH (usually less than 3). Even though this water is acid, it is not harmful to humans
or animals. It is used widely in Japan in hospitals, restaurants, greenhouses, food
processing, etc. Hospitals make the acid water on site and use it for patient treatment
(skin ulcers, wounds, dermatitis), equipment and room disinfection, hand washing,
laundry, etc. It is used in greenhouses and on agricultural fields and golf courses as a
user friendly pesticide (no protective clothing required). It is used on animal farms to
reduce disease and odor.

Plarr House Installations

Every Plarr House will have two POU functional water systems, one to make safe and
energized drinking water and one to make a broad spectrum biocide. These waters can
also be used for animals and plants.

Richard A. Wullaert, PhD, Materials Science: Dr. Wullaert has 40 years’
experience in all aspects of technology development (including research,
product development, marketing, and management) and has been
successful in transferring technologies into successful high tech companies.
As the President of the Functional Water Society, he is considered the
leading expert in the U.S. on Functional Water. Dr. Wullaert has founded
several high tech companies. He was the Chief Technology Officer for two
U.S. companies specializing in functional water products and equipment.

Kokichi Hanaoka, PhD, Membrane Science: Dr. Hanaoka was the Founder
and Director of the Functional Water Foundation and the Manager of the
Functional Water Science Research Institute in Japan. He is one of the top
researchers in the world in function water and has several patents in this
field. He has provided patented technology and key experimental equipment
to the Company for product development.

Hiroshi Tanaka, BS, Electrical Engineering: Mr. Tanaka is an expert in
electrolysis and the holder of many patents on the electrolysis of liquids.
Many of the commercial systems used in the U.S. to make electrolyzed
water were designed and built by him. He has received many awards
in Japan for his innovative devices. He has designed and produced the
laboratory and commercial electrolysis systems used by the Company.
